I discovered diving in the late 90's. It was just a year or two after getting certified that I attended my first Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) meeting. In just minutes I was obsessed with underwater photography. Within months I joined the NCUPS board as the Marketing Director and worked with the organization on for the next 4 and a half years. My love of the sea and photography were major factors in my decision to leave my job as a corporate VP to become part of the dive industry, and work to get more time underwater.

A resident of Northern California, my first-ever trip to the southern hemisphere was in 2005 to Bali and Wakatobi Resort, with a group of photographer/divers from NCUPS. That experience was "truly extraordinary." Since then, I have spent time diving and taking photographs around other locations, including Bali, Komodo, Alor, Raja Ampat, Ambon and a few other locations in the Banda Sea. I've made a move to the north, above the equator am now working with Salaya Beach Houses, in Dumaguette, Philippines.

I still love everything about the sea, so in addition to diving, I have a strong interest in conservation, sustainability and the protection of marine environments around the world. These are values that have come to fit in the dive industry, with divers leading social and conservation programs around the world. In the past, I have spent every available minute underwater with usually 4 dives a day but more recently am thinking about a more balanced kind of vacation to amazing destinations that include some top-side adventures as well.
